WOOD TRANSFER AND DOSING DEVICE
TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to a delivery and dispensing device. More particularly, the invention relates to a wood transfer device and a metering device according to the preamble of claim 1.
BACKGROUND [0002] Various devices for moving, arranging and sorting trees are used in sawmills for treating trees. The devices are usually separate and designed for one single step. It is common practice for the trees to be moved by 10 different chain conveyors, arranged by a mechanical arranger and finally dispensed individually with a dedicated device. Woodworking equipment for sawmills is typically unsuitable for the mechanical treatment of firewood, as their purchase price may be too high in relation to the volume used. In addition, when using sawmill equipment for firewood treatment, the problem may be the complexity of the firewood and the inferior quality compared to the lumber.
In professional firewood making, various table solutions are used to facilitate and speed up the various work stages. The most common method is the inclined tree stand, which allows the trees to be moved by hand with the aid of a single stove machine. The practice is inexpensive, but when working with large trees, work can become very heavy and even dangerous. There is a need for further development of firewood handling equipment.
SUMMARY More particularly, the invention is characterized by what is stated in the characterizing part of claim 1.
According to one aspect of the invention, there is provided a wood transfer and dispensing device comprising a stop member and a transfer device for transferring trees.

According to one embodiment, the transfer device is adapted to be movable relative to the stop member for guiding the trees from the stop member to the transfer device and the transfer device 5 is movable under the trees for dispensing the trees individually to the stop member.
According to one embodiment, the stop member is adapted to stop the trees when moving the transfer device.
According to one embodiment, the device further comprises a dispenser for dispensing the wood for feeding the wood processing device by moving the wood from the transfer device 10 along the stop part.
According to one embodiment, the transfer device is adapted to be moved relative to the stop member by means of a support point and a joint for arranging trees side by side on the transfer device and for moving the trees.
According to one embodiment, the dispenser is adapted to move completely with the transfer device to transfer a single tree dropped to the stop member for feeding the wood handling device.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS Certain embodiments of the invention will now be described in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:
Figures 1-5 illustrate wood transfer and dispensing devices according to some embodiments, seen from the side; Figure 8 shows a wood transfer and dispenser according to one embodiment, in which the stop member is movable.
20176130 prh 18-12-2017
EMBODIMENTS Fig. 1 is a side view of a wood transfer and dispenser according to one embodiment. The device comprises a frame 1, a support point 2, a stop member 3, a transfer device 4, a pivot point 5-8, a means 9 and a dispenser 10. The trees 11 are loaded 5 on the stop member 3 and partly on the transfer device 4. The trees 11 may be wood for firewood or other wood or lumber.
According to one embodiment, the trees are at least partially loaded onto the stop member 3 and / or the transfer device 4. With reference also to Fig. 6, the stop member 3 may be made of two or more of the elements shown in the figure, the distance of which is determined by the length of the tree 11.
The distance between the elements can be determined already at the manufacturing stage of the device or it can be user adjustable, for example, by means of telescopic parts connecting the elements.
The stop member 3 acts as a stop for the trees 11 when the transfer device 4 is moved.
In the embodiments illustrated in Figs. 1-5, the stop member 3 comprises a first sub-portion that is inclined relative to the transfer device 4 such that at least a portion of the trees 11 loaded on the device pass over the transfer device 4. The stop part 3 comprises a second sub-part adapted to stop the wood 11 coming from the transfer device 4.
It will be appreciated that instead of a single stop member 3, several separate parts may alternatively be used to form these differently functional parts.
According to one embodiment, the device comprises articulations 5-8 as shown in Figures 1-6. The joints allow the parts of the device to be connected to one another and allow the parts of the device to move relative to one another.
According to one embodiment, the transfer device 4 may be attached by a support point to the body 1 and a hinge 5 to the dispenser 10, as shown in Figs. 1-5. Referring also to FIG. 6, the transfer device 4 may be made of two or more of the elements shown in the figure, the spacing of which is determined by the spacing of the elements of the stop member 3 and the length of the tree 11. The distance between the elements can be determined already at the manufacturing stage of the device or it can be user adjustable, for example, by means of telescopic parts connecting the elements. In relation to the movement of the transfer device 4
20176130 prh 18-12-2017 The stop section 3 allows the trees 11 to be arranged side by side so that they can be dispensed in a controlled manner. The support point 2 can be used to adjust the angle of the transfer device 4 with respect to the stop part 3. The support point 2 can be, for example, a rotating roller.
According to one embodiment, the device may comprise a dispenser 10. The dispenser 10 may be articulated 6 to the body 1, as shown in Figs. 1-5.
By means of the dispenser 10, the trees 11 can be moved in a controlled manner to a wood handling device 14, such as a conveyor or a valve machine. When the dispenser 10 is connected to the device, several devices and a work step can be combined into one device. This makes the transfer and dispensing of the trees 11 easier, since no separate actuators 10 are required for each device and function, when the devices can be operated by a single control device and drive unit.
The wood transfer and dispensing device may comprise at least one means 9 for moving the transfer device 4 and / or the dispenser 10. The accompanying figures illustrate some embodiments in which the means 9 can be used to move the dispenser 10 and 15 the transfer device 4. The means 9 may be attached by a joint 8 to the body 1 and by a joint 7 to the dispenser 10 as shown in Figures 1-5. The means 9 may be, for example, a cylinder which may be a hydraulic cylinder.
According to one embodiment, the device can be operated by a single control device. The control device comprises a user interface through which user control commands 20 can be received to control the device manually. The device may be adapted to perform at least part of the work steps automatically. The control device may comprise a control unit comprising one or more processors executing computer program code stored in the memory which, when executed in the processor, provides control commands for actuators, such as for controlling the device 9 and / or the propulsion unit. 25 The control functionality may be programmable and / or at least partially implemented as a hard implementation.
According to one embodiment, the device can be operated by a single propulsion unit adapted to supply the power required to perform the work steps, for example, on the device 9. The propulsion unit may be, for example, a hydraulic motor or pump.
20176130 phr 18.12.2017 [0021] Figure 2 shows a situation in which the transfer device 4 is transferred to the applicator means 9 and the means 10 in the direction of arrow 13, wherein the transfer device 4 will rise above the stop member 3, the wood pile to disseminate and trees 11 are organized in a row on the transfer device 4. If necessary, the transfer device 4 can be driven back and forth until the trees 11 5 can be spread and arranged. This may be the first operation step when a wood load has been fed to the dispenser and feeder (e.g., from the starting position of Figure 1).
[0022] Figure 3 shows a situation in which the dispenser 10 is moved in the direction of the arrow 12, whereby the logs 11 encounter the stopper part 3, which stops the movement of the timber 11 in the direction of the arrow 12. At the same time, the transfer device 4 moves out from under the tree 11, whereby one or more trees 11 can be controlled in front of the dispenser 10 for the stop part 3. This may be the second working step after the application of the heap.
[0023] Figure 4 shows the situation in which the dispenser 10 is moved in the direction of the arrow 13. In this case, one or more of the timber 11 can be transferred to a dispenser 10 in the direction of arrow 13 in a controlled manner by moving the stop member 3 along the side in such a way that the tree falls November 15 one by one timber handling device 14 for the feed. The woodworking device 14 may be, for example, a conveyor or a valve machine. This may be the third step in the operation of the device. After the wood 11 has been dispensed, it is possible to return to the second step illustrated in Fig. 3, whereby the next individual wood 11 is dropped onto the stop part 3 and transferred by the dispenser 10 to the wood treatment device 14.
[0024] Figure 5 shows the situation in which the dispenser 10 is moved to the direction of arrow 12 parallel to the transfer device 4 forms a support point 2 in a substantially steeper angle relative to the stopper part 3 and the transfer unit 4 assists 11, the free moving trees stop to 3. Thus, the timber 11 may move, if they remain closed at the beginning of the stop part 3. The function illustrated in Figure 5 can be utilized whenever necessary, for example, in addition to or instead of the step of Figure 1.
Fig. 6 shows a wood transfer and dispensing device according to Figs. 1-5, seen directly from the front at the end of the wood treatment device. The stop part 3 consists of two elements. The trees 11 are on top of the transfer device 4.
Referring to FIG. 7, according to another embodiment, the trees 11 may be loaded onto the transfer device 4 and the dispenser 10 may be mounted on the transfer device 4 so that it moves in its entirety as the transfer device 4 is moved. In this case, the dispenser 10
20176130 prh 18-12-2017 may be attached to the transfer device 4 and the device 9 may be attached to the dispenser 10. The device comprises two separate stop members 3a, 3b which may be fixedly mounted on the body 1. The stop member 3a may be mounted fixedly, 4 included. Trees may be fed to the machine stop member 3a on which is arranged to five inclined with respect to the transfer device 4, so that at least a portion of input from the trees 11 moves to the transfer device 4. When the applicator 10 is moved to the arrow 12 direction, the trees 11 collide with the stopper part 3a, which stops the trees 11 at arrow 12 the direction of and the transfer device 4 moves out from under the tree 11, whereby one or more trees 11 fall onto the stop member 3b in front of the dispenser 10. After this, the dispenser 10 is moved in the direction of arrow 13 and 10, one or more of the timber 11 can be moved in a controlled manner along the side stopping portion 3b.
Referring to Figure 8, according to one embodiment, the trees 11 may be fed into the device at least partially over the transfer device 4. The device comprises two separate stop parts 3a, 3b. The stop member 3a may be arranged to be moved relative to the other parts of the device horizontally and / or vertically. The stop member 3a and the transfer device 4 may move in opposite directions when using the device, whereby their movement relative to one another assists and accelerates the arrangement of the trees. The stop member 3a may also be adapted to accommodate the movement of the trees. The stop member 3b may be mounted permanently.
It should be noted that the embodiments illustrated above may be modified in various ways. For example, according to another embodiment, the stop member 3, 3a and / or 3b of the device 20 of Figs. 1-8 may be adapted to be movable (relative to the body 1 of the device and the transfer device 4). The stop member 3, 3a, 3b and the transfer device 4 can move in opposite directions when using the device, whereby their movement relative to one another assists and accelerates the arrangement of the trees 11. The stop member 3, 3a may also follow the movement of the trees 11.
According to another embodiment, the device can also be operated without dispenser 10. When using the device without dispenser 10, the trees can be dispensed directly downwards or, for example, by means of a separate conveyor.
The wood transfer and dispensing device combines several functions in the same device, thereby achieving significantly lower production costs and, consequently, a lower purchase price compared to known solutions used in sawmills. Functionality on different types of wood is also more secure and due to its lightweight structure it is easy to move the table. In addition, the control of the wood transfer and dispensing unit is easy when it can be operated with one control unit and a propulsion unit, so that each unit and function does not require its own actuators.
INDUSTRIAL USEFULNESS At least some embodiments are useful for transferring and dispensing trees.
